Many founders and business owners keep asking me the same thing recently:
How do you show up in AI results on tools like ChatGPT and Claude??
I’ve spent the last three years deep in the AI space. I use it daily to create content, build automations, fix sales funnels, and learn new skills. As a seasoned SEO specialist, I’ve been keen to understand what’s actually happening in the backend of these systems when it returns its answers.
How AI Decides Who Shows Up
AI pulls from a mix of sources including transcripts, search rankings, and social signals. But not all content is treated equally. If you know where and how to show up, you can shape what AI sees. If you don’t, you’re invisible.
The good news?
It’s never been easier to create marketing content to feed the machines. AI can help you write, produce, and distribute faster than ever. But your messaging HAS to be clear and specific.
For example. You’re not just an accountant. You’re a property tax specialist in London. And you need to make that clear by optimising:
Content – Be specific with what you do and who it’s for.
Format – Use what AI can easily parse
Platforms – Publish where AI is pulling from
Feed AI the signal, not the noise.
A recent survey by TechRadar and Tom’s Guide found that over 25% of people now turn to AI chatbots like ChatGPT instead of Google when asking questions.
That number is only going up.
If your business isn’t ranking now, you’re missing both Google traffic and AI visibility and that’s impacting your growth and revenue.
